Goodluck Mine
Goodluck Mine, located near Middleton by Wirksworth is a unique survivor of an original lead mine driven in 1830 - having both workings accessible to members of the general public as well as the remains of its surface buildings and spoil heap.
A trip down it is being transported into the past - no bulkhead lighting, no concrete paths - you can see how the miner of the 1830s and 1840s earned his living.
