It is highly recommended that the Trip Co-ordinator/Teachers come to the site beforehand to ensure that their risk assessments are appropriate according to the venue.

If you feel that any of these requirements will be an issue for anyone in your group, please contact us to discuss.
Please note that whilst our educators will lead all the activities for your children during the visit, your staff team will need to support and engage your children throughout the activities and encourage participation. Whilst all our team are safeguarding trained and DBS checked, they should never be left with a group of children without at least one supporting adult from your school.
We actively encourage children to visit the shop during their visit to us although we appreciate funds may not be available for everyone. We recommend visiting the shop during the lunchbreak or at the end of the day. The maximum number of children allowed in the shop with their supporting adult at any time is 6. Other children are to wait in the marquee rather than in the café or entrance area.
Please also be aware that our site is an open access site so there are members of the public on site at all times. We also have a café on site and our toilets are public toilets shared with the café visitors. We aim to close the toilets to the public on arrival for a short period of time, at breaktimes and prior to departure to ensure your children’s safety. If children require the toilet in between those times, please ensure a member of your team attend to ensure their safety. There may be times when we need to allow individuals from the general public through to use the disabled toilet even when the school are using the main toilets. Be aware also that The National Stone Centre site and The Quarry Café are dog friendly and the grounds are regularly used for dog walking.
The majority of our activities are based outdoors therefore if the weather is due to be freezing cold/snow/extreme wind/severe rainfall we may have to cancel with little notice. This is to ensure the safety of your children and both our staff teams. In this eventuality, we would be more than happy to rearrange your trip to another date.
Complete the form and a member of the team will be in touch to confirm the details and your requirements.
