Preparing for your visit

Clothing

The activities are based outdoors. It is essential that your group wears appropriate footwear for walking on the trails, and it is advisable to ensure that clothing is weatherproof and suitable for being outside for the day.

First Aid

We ask that you bring a First Aid kit and have an appointed First Aider. When we are out on the trails, the appointed person will need to carry the kit and be responsible should anything occur. At the centre we do have First Aid supplies, but administration of any First Aid will be the school’s responsibility.

Health & Safety

Schools are required to complete their own risk assessments, which consider any specific needs that the group they are bringing may have. The National Stone Centre has comprehensive codes of practice and policies covering Health and Safety, Safeguarding, Risk Assessments and First Aid. Copies are available at the time of booking.
