Disabled and less able visitors

Discovery Centre at the National Stone CentreThere is a designated parking area for less mobile visitors situated adjacent to the Discovery Centre (follow the road under the bridge) giving level access to the activity areas.

The self-guided trails around the site are wheelchair friendly. However, please bear in mind that the site is set in former quarries and therefore some paths are quite steep and may require some assistance. Certain parts of the on-site trails (which follow natural contours) may not be fully accessible at all times. Motorised wheelchair users should be able to negotiate all the trails in the Trail Guide without difficulty.

Disabled toilet facilities are located in the Discovery Centre.
