How to find us

By Car - The National Stone Centre is on the B5035 Cromford-Carsington road.

(If you're using Sat Nav please put in National Stone Centre before the postcode DE4 4LS)

By Bus - Derby to Bakewell route (via Wirksworth), (Trent Barton Buses 6.1)

By Train - Cromford Station (1.5 miles) Derby to Matlock line (East Midlands Trains)

By High Peak Trail - the trail runs through the National Stone Centre site (High Peak Trail)

 

There is ample parking space for car and coaches providing access to the National Stone Centre as well as the High Peak Trail.

Our car parking meter takes contactless payment only. Fees are as follows:

Car £1.50 for two hours, £3 for 4 hours and £5 for all day.
Motorcycle £1 all day.
Camper, coach and horsebox £5 for 4 hours and £15 all day.
Parking is monitored by our warden

Attention – please be aware of the uneven nature of the site and the presence of old quarry faces and mine shafts. Wear suitable walking shoes, children and animals should be kept under close adult supervision at all times.

Finally, please remember, this is a Site of Special Scientific Interest - fossil collecting and hammering is strictly forbidden.

Please respect the volunteers who run the site, without them it would not be able to operate.
